Cuisi-n-Art Support Policy
As a committed corporate citizen, we contribute to the well-being of our community through a clear engagement strategy. This policy defines and governs our actions in order to maximize our impact, protect our brand and guide applicants.
Definitions
Donation
We support our community through contributions in various forms: financial, materials, products, services and projects, provided that requests align with our values and the causes we prioritize. We also allocate an annual budget to our staff to support their children’s sports.
Sponsorship
We sponsor activities that support the causes we prioritize, in exchange for visibility defined in advance. At the request of clients or subcontractors, we sometimes sponsor other activities that are not charitable in nature; these do not fall under this policy and are excluded from the accounting of our community involvement.
Territory
We accept requests from the Outaouais and Ottawa. However, we maintain a natural priority for our home community in the Outaouais, while gradually growing our involvement on the Ottawa side in line with our geographic expansion.
Our Values
Our values are reflected in our work and in our community involvement. We support initiatives and applicants that demonstrate a commitment to these same values:
- EXCELLENCE — Innovative Mastery
We deliver excellence in every one of our projects through our rigour and a constant quest for innovation, to unlock human potential, maximize efficiency and actively protect the environment.
- COLLABORATION — The Strength of Sharing
We join forces — colleagues, clients and partners — by sharing ideas, resources and skills to deliver our best with agility and build lasting alliances.
- AUTHENTICITY — Candour With Care
We are genuine and consistent, in word and in deed. Our exchanges are open and respectful, with the boldness to change course when needed.
- PRIDE — Work With Meaning
We celebrate the quality and impact of our work: every achievement benefits our clients, our community and our planet. Pride shows up as joy at work, shared success and the responsibility to keep doing better.
Our Priority Causes
Our contributions must respond to evident needs, according to the following focus areas:
- Children and Youth: essential needs, academic success and perseverance, amateur sport and youth development;
- Dignity and Essential Needs: particular attention to women, children and families in vulnerable situations;
- Housing and Living Environments: particularly where Cuisi-n-Art can use its expertise, products or services to concretely improve a living environment.
Cuisi-n-Art may, on an exceptional basis, support other causes at its discretion, but does not accept unsolicited requests for causes other than those named above.
Our Commitment
Cuisi-n-Art devotes approximately 2 to 3% of its annual profits to community involvement and reserves a discretionary fund to support major causes or campaigns at its own discretion. This percentage excludes the company’s volunteer participation in regional round tables and boards of directors, as well as its environmental investments in its workplace and operations.
Unsolicited Requests
We accept unsolicited requests only through our online form. Organizations, groups, individuals and families may submit a request, until budgets are exhausted, provided it corresponds to the causes named above; any request that does not meet this criterion will not be processed. Requests are read and evaluated during the first week of each month. Response time if accepted: 2 to 4 weeks. In that case, we will send a confirmation email. If we receive no response within 14 days, we will assume the request is no longer relevant and will archive it. A request cannot exceed $1,000. The beneficiary has six months to send us a short summary of the impact of our contribution at the following email address: info@cuisi-n-art.com; without this report, they will not be able to submit further requests. It is important to us to know that our funds are used responsibly and generate a real impact.
Donations of Kitchens, Vanities, Furniture and Materials
This type of request must be submitted through our online form. The same criteria, timelines and follow-up requirements as for financial requests apply. Generally, solid surface countertops are not included. Plumbing, electrical work and other specialized trades are not part of our contribution. Each project is evaluated on a case-by-case basis according to its relevance, needs and our production capacity.
Our Employees’ Causes
After the probationary period, each employee has a maximum amount of $500 per year to support one of their children’s sports. To raise awareness of needs in our community and strengthen team spirit, each employee displays the sports cause(s) they support on a recognition wall visible to our team and our clients.
Exclusions
For reasons of fairness and respect, we cannot accept requests for support for:
- political or partisan activities;
- activities whose main objective is to promote a religion;
- personal travel;
- strictly personal fundraising campaigns;
- requests from outside Gatineau and Ottawa, except where the initiative comes from Cuisi-n-Art;
- requests submitted after an event or project has taken place;
- projects or organizations inconsistent with our values and causes;
- requests from the same applicant within the same year.
Adoption and Review
This policy comes into effect on September 1, 2026. It will be reviewed as needed or every 3 years.
